Despite the fact that I really did not want to cook dinner last night...I did it anyway. I really wanted pizza. Pizza that I didn't have to make. Oh well. So it was roasted broccoli and cauliflower. Along side steak with whiskey cream sauce, recipe courtesy of Pioneer Woman. Thank you PW!

Before the roasting.

Finished product. Sorry about the bad picture. Somehow I turned the flash off? Who knows...

Steak...already cut, with the whiskey cream sauce on top.

Now, one thing. The recipe calls for 3 tablespoons of finely chopped onions (or something like that). I did have 3 onions. But they are the size of softballs. I really didn't want to cut into all of that onion for just 3 tablespoons. So, I used dried minced onion that I had in the cabinet. I just re-hydrated them with water before adding them. And I went a bit overboard with them. So the sauce would look a little different if I went with the real thing.
I'm assuming the meal was good. I can't really taste much, or smell anything. No one complained, plates were cleaned. So it had to have been alright. I tried roasting cauliflower this time because I wanted to see if roasting it would make it more appealing to me. Normally I do not care for it. Well the jury is still out, because like I said I can't taste much. But I ate it, and it was ok. So I will give it another try once I get over this cold.
I was going to try making Curry Chicken this week too. But that is on hold until I can taste again. No point in trying something new when I can't taste it. Hopefully next week. Tonight's dinner will be boring ol hamburgers. I am adding stuff too them like I always do though. I am loosely basing them from a recipe from Sandra Lee. Onion rings on the side (for everyone but Ethan). And a sauce that closely resembles the Awesome Blossom sauce from Outback Steakhouse. I love this sauce!
Hmm. Anything else? No that's all for now I think. I'm too foggy to think anymore. Time to rest my brain before Ethan wakes up from his nap.
