Hello Sunshine!

The weekend is over, and I can't say that I am sad about this. It was just ok. Saturday Ryan was gone most of the day. I had mom come over for dinner, which was nice. Dylan was thrilled. He had her pretty much controlled. He enjoyed it. Sunday didn't start out to well. Ethan woke up with the cold that I have. So he spent the day sneezing and snotting. He was off and on grumpy, but that's understandable. I know how bad i felt when the cold started, so I can understand how he feels. But it did make for a long day. I was given my Mother's day gifts after breakfast.
Dylan made me this: Ryan spelled the words for him and Dylan wrote them. I am so proud of him..Not too bad!!

Here is the plant they gave me. It is a bromelaid. That's what the tag says anyway. I know nothing about plants. Its very pretty though. I have it sitting on the mantel in the living room. It says it doesn't need much light, so that will be the perfect place to sit it to enjoy it.

We had a gift card for Bob Evans that we used for dinner. Ryan and Dylan went to pick up our dinner. I was so happy not to have to cook, and bonus, we spent NO money. Gift cards are really the best gifts. I am so thrilled every year at Christmas when we get them. We use them off and on through the year and it is so nice. After dinner we wanted to relax, but Ethan got really crabby and Dylan got himself in trouble. So we ended the evening a little stressed. We also had a bird in the attic, so Ryan went up to get it out, but found 4 dead ones instead. I don't know how they are getting in there. I'm just glad he handled it, because I don't think I could have. Yuck.

Today it is such a nice day out. No rain. The sun is out and there isn't a cloud in the sky. We don't have any plans for the week. Which is fine. I am still not over the cold and now with Ethan sick, its best just to hang out here.

One last thing. I know that normally I dont post about current events or things like that here, but I wanted to share this one story. It amazes me really. Its about Japan and its earthquake. Its amazng how much that quake changed things there. Click HERE to read it. Have a nice Monday.

  4. What a pretty plant and the card is too cute! We've been enjoying some sunshine too after what felt like weeks of rain. It's supposed to be 90 degrees here tomorrow. I think I may break out the kiddie pool :)
