The sickies

We had plans for today. So did Ethan's body. Yesterday he woke up from his afternoon nap with a fever and a rash. The rash wasn't bad, so I kind of assumed that it was a viral rash that would be gone this morning. He was a little grumpy when he first woke, so I gave him ibuprofen for the fever. Once it kicked in he was fine, and playing. He ate like a pig at dinner. He went to bed at his normal time and slept great. He woke up a little late this morning. When I went into get him, his rash was much worse. Still had the fever. Thankfully his doctor's office is open for a few hours on Saturdays. I called as soon as they opened and was given an appointment. I don't want to be someone who runs to the doctors every time my kid gets a scratch. And normally I'm not. If this rash wouldn't have gotten worse overnight, then we wouldn't have gone in. Anyway, within 1 minute of talking to the doctor he knew exactly what it was. It was a reaction to the MMR shot he got at his 15 month appointment! I guess it takes a week or 2 for it to actually show up, if they get it at all. According to the paper he showed me, it is a 1 in 20 chance of getting the rash. It is not contagious and just brings a low fever. He said it should be gone in a couple of days. Ethan is kind of grumpy and whiny. You can tell he doesn't feel well though. He wants to play, but doesn't feel like it. I am hoping he naps well, because sleep is the best thing for him.

So we were all supposed to go to a birthday party for a friend's little girl. Actually, the plan was for mom to come over and stay with Ethan while the rest of us went. But since Ethan has that fever, I didn't want to leave him. So Dylan and Ryan went. I'm glad Dylan is out and about though. It is at a park, so he should enjoy himself. Tonight Ryan's Mom and Dad are having a dinner for Easter/Birthdays. As long as Ethan is acting ok, he and I will go as well. While I took Ethan to the doc's this morning, Dylan and Ryan went out on the four wheeler back to the woods to go mushroom hunting. Nothing was found, except for lots and lots of mud. But Dylan had fun. Also, yesterday evening Ryan tried mowing our yard. But he had to stop because it was spraying water. There is still water laying in our yard from all of this crappy rain. And tomorrow, more rain. If it holds off to later in the day, Ryan is going to try again to mow. We'll see. No plans for tomorrow though. I just hope that Ethan's fever and rash get better. Poor kid.

Foto-rific Friday

First, I am linking up again. I took this picture of Ethan yesterday. Did a cross process to it and cropped a bit off of the left.

and then, she {snapped}

Also yesterday evening, we got more rain. Ugh. Anyway, afterwards the sun came out immediately to our west, and put a rainbow to the East. So I ran out to get a few photos.

Look at this first one, you can see the end of the rainbow in front of the trees! And as you can also see, there is no pot of gold sitting there either. Darn.

A double rainbow appeared for a little while.

I think I need more coffee

Still tired.

We went out to eat for Ryan's birthday last night. We weren't sure if we were going to go because we didn't know what we were in for with the weather. We ended up going, and it just rained. We ate, ran an errand and came home. On the way home they issued a tornado watch until 3 am. Great here we go again. When we got home, I laid everything out in case we had to run for the basement later. Luckily around 1 am or so they cancelled the tornado watch. It got really really windy for a while, but didn't do much else. I am so glad nothing came of the watch. It was nice to get out and go to dinner as well. The boys did well. Ethan ate like a pig, which made me very happy. Depending on where we go Ethan and I can usually share a meal. This time we got him his own and he ate near all of it. He can be a big ol pig at times. By the time we were headed home, it was after 7 and he was getting tired. He kept rubbing his eyes and would whine a bit, but he was good.

The sun is out today finally. Supposedly we are done with the rain until Sunday and Monday. We'll see. I really hope things start to dry up at this point. It looks so nice outside right now, but it is a bit chilly. Yesterday we were close to 70 degrees by this time. Now we are only in the mid 40s. Seems like the weather can't decide what it wants to do.

Yesterday I picked up the living room 3 times before I was finally able to vacuum it. Some days it seems like I can't get anything done. It almost feels like there's no point in trying to clean when 5 minutes later you have to go back and re-do it. I had my dining room all nice and clutter free a week ago. Now, it looks like a closet has exploded on my dining table. I don't know why I can't seem to keep any room nice. Even one that we don't regularly use! I think that I have 2 good excused though as to why things always get cluttered and tossed around. 2 little, hyper, brotherly excuses. My kitchen is another room. Granted we are in there a lot. But in that room I just can't seem to get ahead. Always dishes to be done, things to be put away, meals to be cooked, counters to be cleaned, and trash to be taken out. I think the kitchen frustrates me the most. It seems like there is stuff everywhere, all of the time. Surely I am not the only one who cant seem to keep up with the little ones and their messes. The ones who can manage it and keep their home spotless, how do you do it? You know if I had a weekly maid service come in, they would quit or demand more money! Haha! They'd complain its just too much work. And I would understand.

Yeah, I need more coffee.

What in the world is going on?

That is what I think most days. I say that to myself a lot. Dylan is having some sort of 4 year old testing period. I know its a phase, and this too shall pass, meanwhile, I am losing my mind. For the last week or so, things have been off. I would almost say out of control. Almost. Ethan does add to it, but at the same time, Dylan adds to Ethan. I guess that's just siblings though. One day during Dylan's quiet time in his room, the got a bottle of baby powder off the back of his dresser and emptied the entire thing all over his room. All over. Everything. All over. Everything. I was furious. I didn't have a clue to handle it. I just walked away. Cleaned it up once I had time to cool down. Then there is just general defiance. You know, when I tell him to NOT to do something and he continues to do it. Or when I ask him to do something he is perfectly capable of doing, and he doesn't do it, and whines that he can't do it. He is testing. Why he is, I don't know, but I guess he feels the need.

Ethan has an awful whine when something happens that he doesn't like, or if Dylan takes something from him or wont let him do something. That whine comes out a lot. It is totally annoying. Like nails on a chalkboard. Right now it seems to be happening more than normal. Dylan won't play with Ethan. Ethan wants to play with Dylan. Most of the time, when Dylan does play with Ethan, Ethan will play for a few minutes, and then leave and play with something else. It happens all of the time. I keep trying to explain to Dylan that if he lets Ethan play with him for a few minutes that Ethan will go away. But it doesn't seem to sink in. And makes life difficult. With these 2 its a chain reaction. It doesn't matter who starts it. They are equally guilty of starting it.

On a slightly brighter note, Dylan has been consistently using the potty for poo for the last 2 weeks. There is an occasional overnight poo, but most of the time, he does it in the potty. Thankfully. It hasn't all been stress or mess free though. There has been moments where I wanted to walk away until I can cool down. Overall though, I am happy.

I guess this turned into one long complaining post. Sorry about that. But, that is just what is going on here right now. Again, I may blame it on the rain. Maybe if it would stop raining and dry up, everyone would be happier. Mother Nature, are you listening? Enough with the rain for now. We have crops that are in desperate need of planting and kids that want to play outside with out being soaked to the bone. Please?

Well remember when I said that this weekend would be filled with pictures? Yeah, not so much. Saturday's plans got cancelled. So we stayed home. I did get a few things done though. I feel so glad that I was able to get it done. So while Saturday was not as planned, it wasn't all bad either. Sunday morning we got up a little late, which was nice. I got Ethan up and then got Dylan up and made them eat their breakfast. After breakfast, Dylan discovered the baskets. Ethan was less than thrilled. Dylan got 2 puzzles and some underwear, and Ethan got a car that you shake, and then it goes. Like I said, he was less than thrilled. Both boys also got these little eggs, that once you break open the top, you water it, and a flower is supposed to grow from the egg.

Sunday we went to my Great Aunt's. It was a long drive, but shockingly the boys did fine. I thought Ethan would have a fit, but he was good. He napped for less than an hour on the way over. I was so hoping that he would sleep most of the way, but at least he slept a little. We stayed for a couple of hours and left before Ethan had a chance to meltdown. He was getting a little fussy. He didn't sleep a wink on the way home, but he barely fussed at all. With his lack of sleep that day, I am so surprised at how well he kept it together. We didn't get to go out and hunt eggs at all because of all of this rain.

Again today is it raining. It rained Saturday, and Sunday too. It is supposed to rain all the way until Thursday. This week is Ryan's birthday. We really don't have much planned. Once you get out of your teens, aren't birthdays all the same? They are for me at least. I'm sure we will go out to eat sometime this week for his birthday. Right now I have a chocolate cake cooling on the counter. I will ice it and then do my best writing on it. I don't have much luck writing on cakes! I always start out too big and run out of space or icing. And then you are lucky if you can read it! Oh well, its the thought that counts, right?

Right now, Dylan is on the floor making a picture for his Papaw for Papaw's birthday, which is also later this week. So far he has made his version of a birthday cake, and then stuck tractor stickers on top of the cake, and he make a tractor (so he says) and drew Molly, Papaw's dog. He likes to make birthday cakes for people when it's thier birthday. I am hoping Ethan sleeps this afternoon. He is still awake right now though. I just want to lay down and rest for a little while. I don't know why I am so tired. Again. Maybe its the rain...

Busy Weekend

I just wish that we could have a rain free weekend. Flood warnings are out again. They are calling for 3-4 inches of rain. That's freaking nuts! Overall though it should be a nice weekend. It will be a weekend of lots of pictures! Don't worry I won't bombard you with them all. So tomorrow we are supposed to go to Ryan's Mom and Dad's for a lunch and then the kids, all 2 of them I think will dye eggs. I'm glad that Ryan's Mom does it, otherwise Dylan probably wouldn't get to do it. Maybe when both boys get older, I may give it a shot, but otherwise right now I don't think it would be worth it. Again, I am thankful she does it. At least that way he isn't missing out on anything. Sunday we are making a long drive across the state to go to a Great Aunt's. I am just hoping that Ethan survives the day. He has been rather cranky these last couple of days. The timing on Sunday will cause him to have a very late afternoon nap. As long as the drive doesn't make him crabby, I hope we will be ok. For tomorrow I am making deviled eggs and those lovely Heavenly Yeast Rolls. Yum Yum.

Last night I went to bed with a strong headache. I managed to sleep, and hoped that would be enough to get rid of it, but nope. Woke up with the same headache. NOTHING is working. I have tried quite a bit of different things to get rid of it, but it just will not go away. It is totally sinus pressure, because I can feel it behind my eyes and in my face. I looks like it will be something that just decides to go away on its own. I wanted to lay down and take a nap so bad this afternoon, but I can't fall asleep because of this headache.

Well, I've got to get some eggs boiled so that I can start the deviled eggs. Have a nice Friday!!

We have had a long day. Last night we went to bed a little later than normal. We knew that there was a line of storms headed east. So we stayed up to catch the news at 10 and hear the weather. We went to sleep for a little while. At some point, over Ryan's fire department radio, dispatch warned everyone that a tornado watch had been issued. At that point I flipped on the tv to see if anything was going on. Sure enough. So I watched it for a little while, and Ryan fell back asleep. Again, dispatch came on and warned that we were under a severe thunderstorm warning. That's when we got up and went downstairs. Like I said, we knew these were coming so we were ready. I had a couple of blankets close to the basement door, and had the diaper bag ready for today's errand run, but then I shoved Dylan's shoes into the bag. We wanted to be ready if we had to go to the basement quickly. Thankfully between the satellite and the regular antenna, we were able to stay on the news and watch the radar. Ryan kept debating whether or not to get the kids up. We kept waiting for the wind to pick up. Well we got lucky. I think someone was watching over us. The line of storms lost quite a bit of it's intensity somewhere near the county line. So after a few hours, we felt safe enough to go back to bed. I'm glad that we didn't have to wake the kids and scare them.

We were both so tired when we got up this morning. We had a few errands to run in town and 2 doctor appointments to get to. Ryan had one and Ethan had his 15 month check up. Ryan took Dylan with him while I was at Ethan's appointment. Ethan is 22.5 pounds, and 33 inches tall. He is still in his normal percentages. I think it was 25th percentile for weight and 85th percentile for height. That's why clothes don't fit him well. His noggin is big too. She looked in his ear and it was red, so we were given an antibiotic to clear that up. He doesn't pull at his ear, and hasn't been any fussier than normal, so I was a little surprised. This is the first time the kid has had an antibiotic for anything. So I guess we were due! Haha. So this also meant we had to go to the pharmacy. I don't know about you but I get very irritated with the pharmacy. Their wait time never seems to be under 30 minutes. Drives me nuts. Ethan, bless his little heart held out very well the whole morning. He had been in and out of the car for 4 hours by now. I expected him to totally lose it by this time, but he didn't. He only fussed a little.

So we are home. Boys are napping. I am doing nothing. I dread making dinner tonight, but oh well. Lack of sleep really gets to me. I don't know why. It always has. I tend to get easily stressed and lose a good bit of patience. I am so glad I get this time in the afternoon for myself. I need it. OH! I almost forgot! On this last week's Friday link up, my photo of the blooming tree in front of the house was chosen as a top five! Thank you Jennifer at mcdougall photography.

April showers drown flowers

Another day of rain! Remember my post about a new pond not too long ago? Yeah well its back. We have had a lot of rain since midnight or so. It's crazy. We are supposed to get more tonight. I hope they are wrong about that though. I don't know whether it is from the rain, or the lightning, but the internet has been hit and miss all morning. I am typing this hoping that at some point it will post. As long as the internet stays up long enough. This morning I think I called the phone company 2 or 3 times to complain about the static on the lines. Every.single.time I call, and get connected, it stops. Then the static is gone for a little while, but always comes back. I don't know if there is some weird conspiracy with the phone company or what, but its not funny. They don't believe me when I call to tell them there is static, when for those few minutes there is no static.

Looks like Ryan will be able to go with me tomorrow to town for appointments and errands. It will go much quicker with an extra hand. If it keeps raining, we may need to borrow a boat to get to town. What a weird spring the country has had. Upper plains is getting snow storms. The south west has fire warnings out because they are so hot and dry, and the east is soaking wet and cool. I wish I could pass some of this rain off to the southwest. With all of this rain we are getting, I wouldn't be surprised if it all comes back to bite us in the butt and it turns out to be a very dry summer.

I cannot tell you how glad I am that yesterday is over with. That whole day was "off" from the beginning to the very end. One tiny little thing after another. I didn't sleep well last night either. Tossed and turned a lot. The storms didn't help either. I wanted more than anything for Ethan to sleep in a bit this morning, but he was up at 7. It was still fairly dark because of the clouds and rain. And the rain was softly hitting the windows. I think I could have slept all day listening to that. Apparently Ethan didn't think the same thing.

I did go out a bit in the evening yesterday. It was warm before the rain moved in. I snapped these pictures of another tree blooming. I don't know what kind of tree it is. I don't know much about flowers or trees, and I won't pretend that I do. Anyway, the blooms are just starting. Hopefully I will remember to share more once they are in more.

Monday Monday

It was been one Hell of a day. All sorts of little things have just set me off. One right after another. If these little things would happen say, one per day, then I would be fine with it. But no. They all happen this morning. There is no need to go into what it all was, but it is enough. When I woke up this morning, I had a whole lot of things that I wanted to do once the boys took their naps. I don't think I will get anything done now. I have lost all of my motivation and patience. I need to breathe a little and sit in quiet before the boys wake up and go at 100% again. Do you ever have one of these days? Ya know, the stuff is nothing major, but it is just enough to throw you off and make you want to go back to bed?
We didn't get anything accomplished this weekend. I ran to town and got the boys their Easter gifts. Not much. I will show their baskets later in the week. I don't really do candy. Most years, at least one of our families hosts Easter, and it usually includes and egg hunt with candy. They get enough candy then. And if candy is in the house, I am tempted to eat it all! HaHa! So anyway, Saturday night Ryan had to work. I sat down with Dylan to watch a movie, and wouldn't you know it, Ethan decided to spaz out. He cried for near 20 minutes before I finally gave up and put him to bed. It was early, but I couldn't take it anymore. He laid awake in his crib for a while, but eventually fell asleep. Sunday we did nothing at all. Nothing. It was nice, but the same time, there was so much we could have done. So much I wanted to get done. Stuff that I needed Ryan's help with. Oh well. At the same time it was nice to just all be together.
Not too much going on this week. Ethan has a check up on Wednesday morning. I am hoping that Ryan can go with me, because there are a few things I want to do in town while we are there. And I could definitely use an extra hand. I will manage if he can't, but it would be nice. I could go on, but you know what I really want to do? Lay down for a few minutes. That's what I am going to do! Happy Monday all!

Monday Rewind

I am linking up with Chic Homeschool Mama for this weeks Monday Rewind. If I could describe this past week with out using words, then I would stand just wow Dylan is standing in this picture. And I would add a "sigh" while in my stance.

A look back

My favorite part of the day is by far when it's time to put the boys to bed. Ryan usually puts Dylan to bed, and I put Ethan to bed. When I do put Dylan to bed, its nice to tuck him in and say the good nights and I love yous. It's by far the most peaceful part of the day (when everyone is awake still). I rock Ethan for a few moments before I lay him down. It's just a little piece of time when I get to cuddle with him. Every other moment in the day he is moving, fidgeting, and just not in the mood to be still. So for those few minutes, I get to cuddle him. I cherish it. Both boys are growing so fast and becoming fairly independent. While I love seeing them grow and do more things on their own, I still get a bit sad that they are not babies anymore. The baby stage is gone. I am excited for what's next though. So while I am feeling nostalgic, I am doing a look back. If you have been reading for a while, then you have seen these before I'm sure.

Well guess what! It is supposed to rain. Again. Friday into Saturday. Lovely. So much for getting anything done outside this weekend. I know there are plenty of other places that need the rain. I wish I could push it where it needs to be. The guys are going to be late getting into the fields this year because of all of the rain. But again we don't have any big weekend plans. Ryan has to work Saturday night, and now with all this rain moving back in, we won't do much. I hope the weather people get the forecast all wrong and we barely get a sprinkle. At least it is a nice day out today. The sun is out and shining nicely. We are supposed to be over 70 degrees today! While the boys were napping yesterday, I went out and dug up a couple of surviving flowers from our landscaping. I transplanted them into milk jugs that I cut the top off of. No idea if they will survive, but great if they do. Next time I am at the dollar store I can pick up a couple of pots to put them in. That landscaping is supposed to be torn out at some point and redone. It needs to be started all over. It was too far gone when we moved in 6 years ago. Anyway, every year one or 2 pretty little flowers pop up, somehow surviving. Also, while I was out, I took a few pictures. Here is one. I will share more tomorrow.

The open house went really well last night. Dylan was a little shy, but I expected that. He managed to say his name and age when asked, and that was about it. They welcomed everyone in and allowed all of the kids to freely explore the classroom. Dylan went right for the train table. I think we were there for about an hour. The teacher remembered me from the visit and emails, so that was really reassuring. In July we should get a packet of paperwork to fill out. I feel really good about him going there. There was a good turnout there last night. I am so thankful that I got my application in early. They don't have their date set yet for the first day of class. End of August or beginning of September is what they are thinking about right now. After last night, I am even more excited about him going!

Yesterday evening was a little difficult for me. I knew that I would have to step out of my comfort zone and talk to people. I am a rather shy person. It really does take a lot to get out of my box and open up to people I don't know well or at all. It took a lot for me to go on that preschool visit a couple of months ago. I was in a new place with new people. I had no one to hide behind. Last night, while I didn't approach any other parents, I still managed to carry on a brief conversation with a couple of the teachers and assistants. I was so nervous going in. I survived I guess. This whole preschool thing will force me to step out again. Each parent is asked to co-op at least once a month in their child's classroom. I am not very good with other people's kids. I get nervous for some reason. I don't know how to act. Well at least I FEEL like I don't know how to act. I'm not good at making new friends. Often I keep quiet in a group situation because I don't feel like I have much to offer or anything interesting to add. It all comes down to a lack of self-confidence. I have always been this way. It's just who I am. So when I step out of my box and actually speak, or offer something, then it is pretty big in my book. The moments leading up to an event when I know I have to take a step, are totally nerve racking. Butterflies and all that jazz. Then I tend to get red faced. Well, it feels like my face is getting red. I get warm. There are just so many nerves fluttering around. Once I feel like my face is getting red, I get more and more nervous. It's an odd cycle. It is always such a huge relief when someone else reaches out first. Then I feel like, "ok, they do want me to talk to them." And many of those nerves calm. Even here in the internet world all of that applies. It's not just a face to face thing.

Both boys woke up in good moods today. It doesn't always happen, so I am always thankful when it does. And the sun is out! Yay! It is still cool out, so I guess we can't have it all, but the sun is nice. It makes you feel good to see a clear sky and sun.

Holy rain Batman. Why is it STILL raining?! Why won't it STOP raining? Haven't we had enough rain? Why is it barely 40 degrees today when it was near 70 yesterday? Do you know? Me either. All I DO know is that I am sick and tired of the rain. I'm tired of these cold temps. I am tired of the rain. Did I already say that?
I was a bit irritated with Dylan this morning. This happened to be the one morning Ethan decides to sleep past 7 am. Which also means that I get to stay in bed. Well, this morning, while we were sleeping, Dylan for some reason wakes up and decided to raise a little bit of hell. I hear him knock on something. I'm not sure if it was the window or door, but he is in his room making noise. I lay my head back down and ignore it. Then he does it again, only louder and longer. GRRR. I get up. Go down and tell him that he needs to be quiet because we are still sleeping. He knows to stay in his room until we come and get him in the mornings. It's never late by the way. So why he decided to be a turd this morning is beyond me. Ethan ended up sleeping until a little after 8! Man! I could have slept in a little!
Despite all of that I have been a little productive today. What else is there to do on a rainy cold day? Well, other than sleep. I finally got Dylan to clean his room right. Every 2 or 3 days I make him clean up the toys in his room and put everything back. Well lately he has just been throwing all of his little stuff into a large dump truck he has and says its clean. So today I dumped it all out, took out the dump truck and drilled it into his head that what I mean when I say clean is to put everything where it goes. After lots of frustration on his part, its done. It won't stay like that, but for now, its done.
Both boys seem to have a cold too. Ethan is a giant ball of snot. And Dylan has a cough. We had been cold free for a couple of weeks, and it was so nice. I hate colds. Blech.
Like I said yesterday, we have an open house at the preschool for Dylan tonight! I'm sure you will be hearing about it here, tomorrow!!

Mondays wear me out

I am so tired. Again. I don't know why I have felt so tired lately. It has rained all day today so that doesn't help at all. I wish I could get yesterday back. It was a nice day. We got a few things done, the kids were in a good mood. The weather was great. For dinner, Ryan grilled steaks for dinner. I roasted some potatoes and then made a french bread to go along with it all. The bread was great. Patting myself on the back! I would be glad to share the recipe, so feel free to contact me if you'd like it. It is an extremely easy recipe. The finished product! We don't have many plans for the week. Tomorrow though is an open house at the preschool Dylan will be attending in the fall. I'm nervous and excited all at the same time. Hopefully Dylan will be excited and not too shy when we go tomorrow evening. Oh no. I hear the sounds of Ethan waking up. I am so not ready for that kid to be awake yet.

Where do you want to go?

Last night during general conversation with Ryan some how my thoughts went to Montana. I don't know some how the word Butte came up, and I automatically thought of Butte Montana. Anyway, I got to thinking about how much I'd like to see Montana one day. Ya know, we have tried twice to plan a road trip out to see the Badlands. The first time we started talking about it, it was end of 2005, beginning of 2006. At the same time though, we decided we wanted to have a baby. Well, once we got serious about trip planning, BAM! Pregnant. So thinking that driving from Ohio to the Dakotas as a pregnant lady wouldn't be the best. Swelling, and bad for you food, and then hiking in the Badlands, just not a good idea. So we put it off. We started talking about it again before Ethan. Again, pregnant! So I'm kind of hesitant to bring it up again for fear of getting pregnant again, haha! No one day we will drive out west. I want to see it so bad. The pictures that I have seen of the area look so amazing, it can only be that much better in person.
I'd also like to see Hawaii. My ideal would be that one year Ryan and I go by ourselves. Then once both boys are older, can enjoy it and remember it, go back. I have no idea which island I would want to see though. They all seem special. I'd like to see the Gulf of Mexico one day. Although I'm not sure which state I'd like to see it from. I'm a big fan of the ocean. Any ocean. Italy. Love to see Italy. I would have no idea where to begin, so if I ever went to Italy, I'd want my visit to be apart of a tour group or something. There are so many amazing places in this world. I love gorgeous landscapes and historic ruins. Take me to a place that has one of those and I'd be a happy girl.
I want the boys to grow up with an appreciation of travel, and new things. We may not be able to travel the world, but even here in this state there are places we can go to show them that getting out and seeing new things can be fun.
Where would you go? I'd love to hear!

A good day for a nap

I woke with a massive headache this morning. For about 5 hours now I have been in a world of hurt. Ouch. It's starting to lighten a bit, but it's not over yet. I would like to lay down for a while, but then I would fall asleep, and that wouldnt be good with the kiddos running around! We are supposed to get more rain and storms later. Hopefully it will all miss us though. No sun at all today. It looks cold and wet out. Yuck. We aren't getting into much today. Im hoping to feel better later and take the boys back out to play. Since the weather has gotten nicer, housework has taken a back seat. There is a lot I need to get done. I'll get to it. Sometime. My brother called us this morning on Skype and got to see Dylan. As always Dylan didn't have much to say, but at least they got to see each other. His interent connection wasn't the best. But thats kind of expected where he is. He seems to be doing good. I guess they haven't done much yet.

I messed around with a couple of the pictures I took the other day. All of the animals really enjoy looking out the door. At times there are fights over who gets to be in front of the door. Max and Chloe can manage to share. Diesel, the other kitty will NOT share. Notice you haven't seen many pictures of her. She's nocturnal. After the kids to go bed is when she comes out usually. Unless it is to lay in the sun in front of the door.

Yesterday was a nice day here. The sun was out and the breeze was warm. The boys and I spent most of the afternoon out on the screened in porch playing. I snapped tons of pictures. But I am only showing a few. I wouldn't want to bore you!

Ethan enjoyed pushing Dylan. And its much safer for Ethan to be the pusher.

Yes, I know. There's a hole in the screen on the porch. But isn't he cute!

Today it feels much cooler. It's also windier. We've been getting little rain showers here and there too. But tomorrow and Sunday are supposed to be so warm! I can't wait. 80's finally! Oh, and during the noon news today, they told us that the DOW from the series "Storm Chasers" is at the Cincy museum center today and tomorrow! Why do I always find out about these things last minute? (If you don't know what I am talking about click HERE). Last weekend it was the TIV, and now the DOW. The DOW is going to be there today and tomorrow. Ryan is working late today so obviously we can't go today. We will see about tomorrow. I don't know what he needs to do. I can't imagine how busy that place will be though tomorrow. There are so many things at the museum center, so add this to what they already offer and I'm sure it will be busier than normal. From what they said today, the film Tornado Alley has been their biggest hit in 10 years. So they have been getting a lot of additional traffic from all of this. Oh well. The film itself runs through July, so we will get down there one day. Ryan just needs to stop being busy so we can go! Stupid jobs.
